Bet your knowledge and answer Start the quizCorrect answer
Year 622
Explanation
The founder of Islam, Muhammad (years 570–632), is considered the last and most significant prophet and human figure in the religion. For the same reason, Muhammad is referred to as the "Seal of the Prophets". Muslims regard him as the one who restored the original monotheistic faith in God presented by Adam, Abraham, Noah, Jesus, and Moses. He was also active as a merchant and military leader. Muhammad's migration (hijra) from Mecca to Medina took place in the year 622. This event marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar and is thus year 0 in their calendar.
